There’s been a rich history of broadcasting
at NMSU since the earliest days of radio.
In 1919, KRWG’s namesake Ralph Willis
Goddard broadcast the 昀椀rst radio signal in
New Mexico from the NMSU Campus.
Through 2024 and beyond we proudly
carry on that tradition today as KRWG
Public Media. From Goddard’s humble
beginnings, KRWG has grown to include
award-winning television and radio for
southern New Mexico and far west Texas.
