QUEST FOR KNOWLEDGE
The granite and stainless steel sculpture directly outside
the Zuhl Library is called “Quest for Knowledge.” This
20-foot-wide sculpture was designed as a public art work
to accompany Zuhl Library, which was built in the early
90s. According to artist Federico Armijo, the rocketlike column in the middle represents “how the thought
process can be so fast” while the sphere symbolizes that
“knowledge builds up. Almost like infinity.”
